'Smart Goals' - and how they relate to the mentoring program

Specific - the more specific, the better
Example - "I will be within 5 yards of the end wall on every goal scored"

Measurable - can be measured by the observer
Example - "I will give at least 3 advantage calls in this game"

Attainable - needs to be within reach
Example - "I will present all misconduct cards face to face with the player involved"

Realistic - appropriate for the individual or situation
Example - "I will be seen to be dealing with any dissent (verbal/visual)"

Time Bound - has a time limitation
Example - "I will pass the FIFA fitness test in 2008"

Visit the Goals Page for many more examples, and an opportunity to submit
