Outdoor Soccer Comparisons 2010 Season

Team Bench Locations
EDSA – At ESA complex team benches opposite touchline to supporters
EIYSA & EMSA – Where practical, teams and supporters, on opposite sides, first choice going to home team. In EIYSA, Referee has final decision.

Net and Three Flags
EDSA – Required of each team except Premier Men where home team provides all.
EIYSA & EMSA – Required of each team.

Player cards
EDSA – All players must present EDSA ID cards prior to participating (Youth trialist present youth ID). Referee turns in to EDSA the ID cards of those ejected. Signed letter from EDSA with photo ID is also accepted. Letter returns with game sheet.
EIYSA – All players must present EIYSA ID cards prior to participating. ALL cards returned at end of game.
EMSA – U16, U18, plus all ages of Division A & B present EMSA ID Cards. Cards must be shown before end of game. ALL cards returned at end of game.

Team official cards
EDSA – All team officials must have EDSA ID cards.
EIYSA – All officials must have EIYSA ID cards.
EMSA – All officials must have picture ID – either DL or EMSA ID.

Number of Players
ALL – Maximum of 20 players dressed. Players must be on the game sheet & the field before start of 2nd half. For EMSA U10 and U12 age categories are allowed 14 dressed.

Spectators / Referee Liaison
EDSA – Teams are responsible for the conduct of its spectators.
EIYSA – Coaches are responsible for the conduct of all team supporters.
EMSA – Referee Liaison program in place. Team will forfeit if they have not identified RL within 15 mins. of scheduled start of the game.

Bench Personnel
EDSA – Three “non-playing” personnel.
EIYSA – Four “non-playing” personnel – one must be of same gender as team.
EMSA – Four “non-playing” personnel – one must be of same gender as team.

Trialists (Violations are dealt with by each league, not by referees)
EDSA – Maximum of three trialists. Youth trialists must have youth player card and permission letter from youth coach. Masters & Classics do not require letters
EIYSA – Maximum of four trialists who are noted as such on the game sheet.
EMSA – Maximum of three trialists who are noted on the game sheet. ID Cards not required. Letter of permission from trialist coach required. (Four allowed in City Finals and Outdoor Inter Cities only)

Player’s equipment
ALL – FIFA Law 4 and CSA guidelines (no jewelry, no TAPING of jewelry)

Uniforms changes & Pinnies
EDSA – Home team changes. Pinnies not allowed.
EIYSA – Home team changes. Numbered pinnies allowed. Goalkeepers’ uniforms can match.
EMSA – Home team changes. Pinnies allowed.

Players to Start Game
EDSA – 7 players @ 15 minutes
EIYSA – 8 players @ 15 minutes
EMSA – 7 players @ 15 minutes

The Ball
EDSA – Size 5 – provided by home team
EIYSA & EMSA – U10, U11, U12 – Size 4; U14, U16, U18 – Size 5

Substitutions
ALL – Unlimited number during league play – Referee’s discretion

Duration of Game
EDSA – All: 90 minutes
EIYSA and EMSA - U16 & U18: 90 minutes both
EIYSA and EMSA- 14: 80 minutes both
EIYSA - U12 - 80 minutes
EMSA - U11 & U12 - 70 minutes
EMSA - U10 - 50 minutes
EMSA - U8 - 50 Minutes

Valid Time
EDSA – 60 minutes has been played
EIYSA – 2/3 of the game has lapsed
EMSA – 75% of the game has lapsed

Game Sheets
EDSA – Discipline & scorers recorded on respective home & away game sheets. Additions can be made up to start of 2nd half. Game sheets turned in within 72 hours.
EIYSA – Home team sheet used for match report. Scores and referee signature on both sheets. Coaches sign at the end of the game.
EMSA – Discipline & scorers recorded on respective home & away game sheets. Game officials sign both game sheets. Coaches sign their respective game sheets. Additions can be made up to start of second half.

Sheet Distribution
EDSA – Top white returned by referee to EDSA. Yellow – referee. Rest to teams.
EIYSA – Top whites returned to home team. Canary – referee. Rest to teams.
EMSA – Top whites and light yellows to home team. Pink copy to visiting team. Gold copy to referee.
